Job market report aggregates

Release-pinned seniority, geography, and retained-description skill slices used by the Analytics Engineering Job Market Report, with explicit denominators, coverage, and caveats.

9 rows in release 2026-08-26.2.

  • Figures describe an observed sample of open postings, not the whole job market.
  • Permitted claim class for this release: SNAPSHOT_ONLY.

Columns

dimension
The aggregate slice: SENIORITY, COUNTRY, US_REGION, or SKILL. Each uses the denominator and caveat carried on its row.
segment
The category within the dimension, such as SENIOR, US, CA, dbt, or Snowflake.
posting_count
Postings in this segment. Null when the row is suppressed; otherwise an exact count within eligible_postings.
eligible_postings
Postings eligible for this specific metric after its stated coverage rule. This is the denominator for share_pct.
share_pct
Posting count as a percentage of eligible_postings. Null when the eligible sample does not clear the publication threshold.
coverage_pct
Share of classified open postings eligible for this metric. For skills, eligibility requires description text that source policy permits the Observatory to retain.
is_suppressed
True when the cell's sample is below the publication threshold. Suppressed rows are kept so the gap is visible, but their values are nulled rather than merely flagged.
caveat
Required interpretation note for the dimension, including its denominator and known coverage limitation.
computed_at
When this row was calculated, which is the release build time rather than when the underlying postings were observed. For the period observed, see earliest_observation_at and latest_observation_at in the observation window dataset.
